Toy News Tuesday: “Showtime A-Holes!”



Once more we are back with a brand spanking new Toy News Tuesday! We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! Another week goes by and we’re edging ever so much closer to summer! Spring is in full effect in the meantime, and we’ve got Spring Fever with all of these new releases in full bloom! This week we have new items from our friends at Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, McFarlane, Funko, and more! There’s a little bit of something for everybody in the Toy News for the week of May 8th, 2018!


Now In Stores From Diamond Select

This week our friends at Diamond Select Toys have two new offerings hitting stores on Wednesday, May 9th, and they’re going to be satisfying fans of both the Marvel and DC universes! Both figures are part of their brands respective ‘Gallery’ line of PVC Plastic Statue, with DC Comics The Flash based on his appearance in the ‘Justice League’ live-action film from the DC Gallery, and Marvel’s Iron Fist based on his appearance in ‘The Defenders’ Netflix live-action series! DC Gallery Justice League Movie The Flash PVC Diorama

Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash lead the charge in five dynamic sculptures, each depicting the hero prepared to charge into the fray. Sculpted in approximately 9″ scale, each PVC diorama features detailed sculpting and paint applications and comes packaged in a full-color window box. Sculpted by Rocco Tartamella! MARVEL GALLERY NETFLIX IRON FIST PVC STATUE

A Diamond Select Toys release! He is the Immortal Iron Fist! The fourth member of the Defenders on Netflix joins the Marvel Gallery line of PVC Dioramas, completing the team of crimefighters! This approximately 9-inch sculpture depicts Danny Rand, defender of K’Un Lun, atop a New York City rooftop, brandishing his glowing fist. Made of high-grade plastic, this sculpture features collectible-quality paint applications and comes packaged in a full-color window box. Sculpted by Rocco Tartamella!

More Unique Designs Join DC Collectibles ‘Artists Alley’

DC Collectibles new highly stylized PVC statue line ‘Artists Alley’ is set to debut in just a few short weeks! While the hype surrounding the upcoming line has been quite palpable already, our friends over at DC Collectibles are only continuing the build up the excitement by announcing three new pieces for the line as well as some variants of them!

The three newest pieces announced for the ‘Artists Alley’ line are some of DC’s biggest fan favorite heroes, with Nightwing, Batgirl, and The Flash! Hitting stores this December, fans can look forward to each of these new pieces coming from different artists that we are already excited to see participating in the line; Chris Uminga, HaiNaNu ‘Nooligan’ Saulque, and Sho Murase!
