Get A New Look At Kiernan Shipka And Ross Lynch From ‘Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina’

Now that Netflix has announced that ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ will debut on October 26, expect more news and teases to build interest.  The latest is a photo of stars Kiernan Shipka and Ross Lynch as Sabrina and boyfriend Harvey Kinkle from the set.  It appears that Sabrina is getting a lift in Harvey’s truck for a scene.

Check out this image which was posted on Twitter by the ‘Chilling Adventures…’ official account:

Earlier this year, Shipka spoke to ComicBook.com about the series, stating:

“After I read the script, I became immediately obsessed with the role, with how Sabrina is portrayed and how badass the whole thing is.  It’s going to be really dark and really cool, and have this very like macabre take on everything. I’m really pumped to be a witch. Who wouldn’t be?

“I mean, I love The Crucible, and I love kind of the like dark Rosemary’s Baby vibe of things.  And this is the direction that it’s going to go, which is really fun.”

‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ is based on the famous Archie Comics character and as such was originally planned as a spin-off from existing hit ‘Riverdale’.  But now that it will instead be distributed by Netflix, it appears any plans to connect the two have been dropped, at least according to ‘Riverdale’ star Lili Reinhart who plays Betty Cooper:

“The decision was ultimately made to move to Netflix to make these Riverdale and Sabrina shows completely separate universes.  I don’t really know what [showrunner] Roberto [Aguire-Sacasa]’s plan is for Sabrina or what aspect of the supernatural or magic will be used. I know that doesn’t exist in Riverdale. At least right now. So it wouldn’t make sense for those two worlds to collide.”

Joining Shipka and Lynch on ‘Sabrina’ are  Miranda Otto (Aunt Zelda), Lucy Davis (Aunt Hilda), Chance Perdomo (Ambrose Spellman), Bronson Pinchot (principal George Hawthorne), Richard Coyle (Father Blackwood), Jaz Sinclair (Rosalind Walker), Lachlan Watson (Susie Putnam), Tati Gabrielle (Prudence), Abigail F. Cowen (Dorcas), Adeline Rudolph (Agatha), Gavin Leatherwood (Nicholas Scratch), and Michelle Gomez ( teacher Mary Wardell).

Jason Motes

Jason’s earliest memory is of watching ‘Batman,’ followed shortly by a memory of playing Batman & Robin with a friend, which entailed running outside in just their underwear and towels as capes. When adults told them they couldn’t run around outside in their underwear, both boys promptly whipped theirs off and ran around in just capes. Jason’s father gamely agreed to read him comic books as bedtime stories instead of ‘Snow White.’ (Super Friends being his favorite.) Jason saw all of the original Star Wars movies (and Indiana Jones and Superman and Star Trek…) in the theaters. Yes, he is old. And grew up in the most GEEKTASTIC decade ever, the 80s, devouring a steady diet of GI Joe, Transformers, Masters of the Universe, Princess of Power and (best of all) Jem! (It totally counts as sci fi! They had a sentient computer that projected holograms!) Jason has studied literature, journalism, film history and has a degree in creative writing (and a minor in psychology) from the University of South Alabama. He has worked as a technical writer and proofreader. These days, most of his creative energy goes into his blog and writing for this site! He lives with the cutest puppies ever.
