Best Cosplay From New York Comic Con

Cosplay is defined as “the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game”, but is that really all that it means? Each and every year at countless conventions around the world, fans turn up decked out in some of the best costumes the world has ever seen as all of their favorite characters from every corner of popular culture. Whether it’s from comics, movies, television or gaming, there is an endless number of possibilities that people can cosplay as, but why exactly do they do it?

This week we were live on the show floor at of the Javits Center in New York City for New York Comic Con 2018! While there, we were sure to snag photos of some of our favorite cosplayers doing what they do best in their top tier costumes! We saw fans dressed up like their favorite characters from classics like ‘Star Wars’ and ‘X-Men’, as well as from newer parts of pop culture like ‘Disenchantment’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’!

This year we took some time to talk to some of our favorite cosplayers at New York Comic Con about what draws them to cosplaying the characters that they do, and what cosplay actually means to them! You can check out the whole video below!
