We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! This week things seem to have gone quiet as everyone recoups from the insanity that was Toy Fair and all of the subsequent announcement follow ups. Sadly, there isn’t much news this week at all, but the news we do have is all pretty fantastic with new items from Diamond Select, Icon Heroes, Hot Toys, and more! There may not be a lot going on, but there is still some wonderful new items to check out in the Toy News for the week of March 12th, 2019!

Diamond Select Goes Higher Further, Faster… and Smaller?

While ‘Captain Marvel’ dominating the box office this past weekend, it’s super exciting to see more news for some awesome new ‘Captain Marvel’ collectibles that will soon be heading our way! This week the team at Diamond Select Toys released some new images of their upcoming 7″ scale Marvel Select Captain Marvel figure that is based on the film that is slated to release this summer. While we first saw this figure of Captain Marvel in her Kree Starforce uniform at Toy Fair a few weeks back, the new images shown this week reveal a previously unannounced unmasked head accessory! She also comes packaged with the previously announced accessories shown at Toy Fair including blast effect pieces, a diorama display base, and even Goose The Cat! The Marvel Select Captain Marvel is expected to retail for $29.99 when she releases in Summer 2019.

If you can’t wait that long for your next Marvel Select fix, this week Diamond Select Toys also has their new Disney Store exclusive Marvel Select Ant-Man and The Wasp figures hitting stores! These figures each come packaged with several minifigures, display stands, and alternative hands so that you can reenact all of your favorite sequences from their self titled film! These figures will be available only in Disney Store retail locations and online at ShopDisney.com and Marvel.com for $24.99 each. Check out the full release for each figure below!
